Introduction for position

As Lead Expert HR Development, you will play a key role in the development and global implementation of strategic and operational HR projects. You will combine conceptual thinking with practical implementation skills and support international HR initiatives from the idea stage to sustainable implementation. You will work closely with global HR teams, country subsidiaries, and interdisciplinary project groups. A key part of your role will be the active facilitation of change processes and the hands-on support of employees and leaders through targeted development formats.

Your tasks

Focus Areas:

1. Strategic HR Development (International HR Development)

Global Leadership Development:

  • Develop and scale a multi-level leadership development program with a focus on international requirements.
  • Integrate modules on strategic leadership, career paths, intercultural communication, and global mindset
  • Deliver leadership trainings, workshops, and coaching sessions to support sustainable behavioral change.

Development of International Leadership and Organizational Models:

  • Conceptualize roles and leadership understandings (e.g., disciplinary vs. functional leadership).
  • Develop uniform principles for leadership, responsibility, and decision-making processes worldwide.
  • Facilitate workshops and dialogue formats to anchor leadership principles in daily practice.

Career Levels & Competence Development:

  • Build a global career and competence model including transparent development paths and skill matrices.
  • Ensure integration into existing systems (e.g., Learning Management Systems, HCM).
  • Conduct seminars and coaching to support individual development planning and career navigation.

Collaboration in International Talent Management:

  • Act as an interface to the International Talent & Attraction Team.
  • Support the development of promotion measures for global talents and high potentials.
  • Assist in the integration of talent acquisition and development across borders.

2. Operational HR Project Management & Implementation 

Rollout of HR Software and Tools:

  • Implement global HR IT systems (e.g., Talent Management, Learning Platforms, Performance Tools).
  • Coordinate closely with IT, local HR departments, and external service providers.
  • Support the global rollout, including training concepts, support structures, and evaluation mechanisms.

Topic Rollouts, Change Management & Active Enablement:

  • Manage global topic rollouts (e.g., new feedback systems, training initiatives, leadership guidelines).
  • Develop and implement communication and change concepts for international target groups.
  • Actively accompany change processes through on-the-ground support, including:

    - Facilitating change workshops and team sessions

    - Conducting leadership and employee coaching

    - Delivering targeted trainings and seminars to build change capabilities

Standardization of International HR Processes:

  • Contribute to the development and documentation of global HR standards (e.g., recruiting, onboarding, employee reviews, performance management).
  • Create practical implementation aids (templates, guidelines, training materials) and implementation strategies.
  • Support local HR teams in applying these standards in the national
    context through hands-on enablement formats.

Project Management of International HR Initiatives:

  • Lead complex HR projects in an international environment (project
    planning, resource management, reporting)
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams across time zones and
    cultures.
  • Monitor milestones, risks, and success indicators.

Your profile

• Completed studies in HR, organizational development, business, or a
comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in international personnel
development and/or HR project management
• Practical experience in the implementation of HR systems and
global HR processes
• Experience with matrix organizations and intercultural collaboration
• Solid knowledge in project management
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; additional languages
are an advantage
• Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and intercultural
sensitivity
• Proven experience in delivering trainings, coachings, and workshops
• Willingness to travel internationally occasionally (approx. 10–20%)
