As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be at the heart of our data operations, taking on the most challenging and impactful projects. You will be instrumental in shaping our data architecture, designing innovative data products, and ensuring the stability and efficiency of our core data platform. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for mentoring. You:

  • architect and conceptualize complex data integration solutions in close collaboration with the Enterprise Data Architect across platforms such as Databricks, SAP BDC, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • design and develop scalable, reliable corporate data products by integrating heterogeneous data from SAP, Microsoft, and other enterprise systems.
  • take functional ownership of the Data Layer on the central Databricks platform, ensuring its performance, governance, stability, and continuous evolution.
  • lead and oversee international data integration projects, providing technical guidance while driving global standardization and best practices.
  • develop proof of concepts and reusable templates on the Databricks platform, leveraging agentic coding and mentoring junior colleagues through implementation.

  • bring 5–10 years of hands-on experience in SQL, database technologies, and designing and optimizing high-performance data solutions.
  • have deep practical expertise with the Databricks ecosystem, including Delta Lake and Apache Spark, as well as performance tuning, execution optimization, and cost-efficient data processing.
  • have proven software development experience with languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, or C#, and are familiar with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • hold, or are willing to obtain, relevant certifications such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional and a cloud provider certification (e.g. Azure Data Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Data Engineer).
  • communicate effectively in an international environment and enjoy sharing knowledge by mentoring junior colleagues and explaining complex technical topics clearly.
